Grown in Light, Shaped by Hand.
A grass that grows like a tree — fast, upright and endlessly renewable — bamboo carries a quiet strength that has shaped Assamese homes for generations.

What makes it extraordinary.
Renewable
Mature culms are ready in three to five years and regrow from the same root system, without replanting.
Lightweight
Strong enough to hold a form under tension, light enough to lift and move with one hand.
Timeless
Its clean vertical grain reads as calmly in a contemporary room as it does in a village home.

Strength that never announces itself.
Bamboo grows in dense groves along the river valleys of Assam, drawing height from monsoon rain and the long humid warmth that follows it. It is cut at maturity, when the culm has hardened and its colour has settled into a pale, even gold.
In the hands of a maker it behaves unlike timber. It bends before it breaks, holds a curve once it has been heated, and rewards patience over force. Every joint is read before it is cut, because the grain decides where the piece can turn.
What remains in a finished object is that same restraint — a material that feels light in the room, warm to the touch, and quietly stronger than it looks.

Heat, patience and a steady hand.
Bamboo is shaped over slow heat rather than cut into shape. The maker works with the grain, easing each curve until it holds — a technique passed down through households rather than schools.
